SHIPPING AND ORDER POLICIES:All orders shipped to Arizona will be charged 7.85% Sales Tax.
Payments must be made before items are shipped. We do not carry accounts. We accept all major credit cards, money orders, wire transfers, personal and business checks and Paypal Checkout. If check is used, there will be a 7-14 day delay in shipment or until your check clears through your bank.
You will see your total shipping charges before you make final confirmation of your order. All shipping charges are computed based on your zip code (or Country) and the weight and size of the item. Not all shipping options are available to certain zip codes and/or Countries.
UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes. If any shipping company cannot deliver to you for any reason and the package is returned to us, the customer will be responsible for shipping charges to re-ship the item. The shipping label is printed from the address entered by the customer. If the address is incomplete or needs to be changed by the shipping company we will charge you, the customer for this change. If a refund is requested, we will refund the product less the shipping charges.
Desert Gear does not ship to freight forwarding or cargo companies, and will cancel any orders to these addresses.
We make every effort to ship the day you order, but there is no guarantee.
If a package is delayed due to issues/problems with a carrier, weather, etc. we will not refund your shipping. You will need to address the issue with the shipping company.
In some cases we may ship an item via a different method than what you selected if our method will get it to you faster.
Desert Gear will not refund your payment or provide replacement merchandise if the tracking info from the shipping company shows that the package was delivered to the address you entered on the order. We will assist in filing a claim with the shipping company if necessary.
Desert Gear is not responsible for lost or stolen packages shipped to APO/FPO addresses. If customer chooses to insure the package, we will assist in finding or obtaining a refund for the items.
You can now return merchandise for up to 365 days from the shipment date if you are not 100% satisfied. The merchandise must still be a current item on our website and not a discontinued or closeout item. The merchandise must be in brand new condition, unworn, unsoiled, and as it was originally shipped with original tags, notices, etc. We will not exchange or refund any product that has been worn/soiled/used. (The product(s) will be returned to customer at customerís expense.)
We do not require an RMA Number. Send return package with original, brand-new merchandise in its original packaging and a filled out return form from above.
Once we receive your package we will process your return and issue a refund to the original credit card used or your Paypal account if Paypal was used for the purchase. Please note that we can only issue refunds to your credit card within 30 days of the original shipment date. If your returned item arrives to us more than 30 days from the original order date, you will be issued a store credit instead of a refund.
The buyer is responsible for all return shipping charges. Any exchange will incur a new shipping charge. Returns for items shipped under a free shipping special are subject to our cost of shipping on the original order. Shipping charges will be added to items that do not qualify for free shipping, even if ordered together with a free shipping item.
If you need to exchange an item, simply return the original merchandise using the above instructions. Then just place a new order online. The new order will be shipped as soon as possible and you will be refunded for the original returned merchandise as soon as we can process the return.
Boots and shoes must be returned in the original box, which CANNOT be used as the shipping box. You must ship the boots back in the original packaging inside another box.
Desert Gear will not refund the original shipping charge or the shipping charge paid by Desert Gear on a free shipping special.
If you received any promotional items with your order, and you return the item or items that earned you those promotional items, you will also need to include the promotional items with your return.
Desert Gear will not accept return of or issue credit/refund for the following items:
Defense/Pepper Spray, Items that have been discontinued by Desert Gear, Undergarments including but not limited to: Underwear, socks, t-shirts, Batteries, Gloves, Hearing protectors, headsets, Headwear, caps, beanies, etc., Products with retail price marking of any type, Opened packages or packages showing evidence of tampering, Products not in original packaging, First Aid or trauma treatment products, Worn or shopworn products, Special order products.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNS / EXCHANGES:
Packages are sent via USPS International Priority or USPS International Express.
The customer is responsible for Import Licenses, Customs-assessed import duties, all local taxes, and in-country delivery fees (if any). We assume no responsibility for these additional charges and caution you that they may be much higher than you expect. We assume no risk for lost International packages and will not issue a refund if your package is lost outside of the USA. If a package is refused by the customer or left unclaimed, it will usually be re-routed back to Desert Gear but with additional shipping fees, customs fees, and fuel charges that are charged to Desert Gear. In this case, the fees will be charged directly to the customer using the credit card used to place the order.
Packages seized by Customs for your failure to follow local import regulations are not refunded or credited. The customer is solely responsible for all compliance with your country's regulations. Packages that are left unclaimed and forfeited to Customs or the carrier are charged to your account in all cases. We will not issue credit for these occurrences. If your package is lost or damaged, you are responsible for reconciling all lost or damaged items, fees, etc. with the carrier company.
Under no circumstances will Desert Gear arrange for customer's order to be shipped out of the U.S.A by a freight forwarding company. Desert Gear will not act as the exporter or act as the USPPI for these types of orders. Please check with us BEFORE placing your order if you have questions regarding this policy.
Desert Gear does not offer any warranty or guarantee on items shipped outside of the United States. All warranties are to be handled directly through the manufacturer. Should a defective item be shipped back to Desert Gear without prior consent, it will be at the discretion of the Desert Gear returns department to handle the situation accordingly.
We ship to many countries in the world, except areas where trading embargoes are established by Federal law. Customers are always advised to be absolutely certain of your import regulations and restrictions when ordering our products.
Due to the characteristics and regulatory controls on some of our products, we cannot export controlled items. We CAN NOT SHIP or export under any circumstances Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods (pepper spray/stun guns etc). Orders for these items are canceled if received. You are fully responsible for complying with all of your local import regulations.
We require your use of one of these accepted credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. The handling bank automatically calculates exchange rates.
There is a $500 limit on first time purchases with proper documentation. Your first international credit card order with us cannot exceed more than $500 U.S. dollars unless otherwise arranged in advance with Desert Gear. Orders over $500 must pay by other means (wire transfer, money orders, etc.). All orders must be accompanied with a valid phone number and e-mail address and will only be shipped to the billing address on file with the card issuing bank.
ON ALL FIRST TIME INTERNATIONAL ORDERS OVER $200 WE MAY REQUIRE YOU TO MAIL OR EMAIL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO OUR OFFICES: A current copy of the header (top portion only) of your credit card billing statement showing at least the statement date, the account number, the cardholder name, and the banks name, address and phone number. A front and back copy of the credit card used to place the order (ensure bank phone number is legible). A front and back copy of your international identification card or passport. If emailing the information email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Once the requested information is received please allow 1 to 2 weeks for us to confirm your identity with issuing bank. These measures have been implemented to protect both you, the customer and DESERT GEAR. Once you have been verified you will then be considered an "international account" and these steps will not have to be taken. Please note that we reserve the right to request a wire transfer or other forms of payment on any order at our discretion.
The knife you purchased is not designed or intended for use as a weapon. DESERT GEAR does not warrant that a person may legally purchase, possess, or carry any specific items offered, according to federal, state or local laws. By purchasing any knife from DESERT GEAR whether by phone, mail, email, or in person, the buyer grants that he/she is at least 18 years of age and in compliance with local and state laws and legally able to purchase these items. DESERT GEAR makes no guarantee either express or implied , as to any matter not expressly provided herein, including without limitation, the condition, quality, design, or fitness of the knife for use for any particular purpose. By acceptance of the knife, purchaser agrees that DESERT GEAR shall have no liability to purchaser or any person whatsoever for any claim, loss, damage or expense arising from handling, use, display, or storage of the knife.
DEFENSE SPRAY AND STUN GUN LEGALITIES:
We only ship defense sprays to the Continental 48 USA States. We do NOT ship to PO Boxes. The possession and/or sale of defense sprays and stun guns are legal in the vast majority of states and cities across the United States. However, a few states and cities have chosen to enact laws restricting in some way the possession and/or sale of these products. To the best of our knowledge, listed below is the most current information on cities and states with legal restrictions. Check your local laws to determine the legality of carrying Pepper Spray products or stun guns in your area.
Customers in FL cannot order any defense spray over 2.0 ozs.
Desert Gear cannot ship Defense Spray products to consumers in Massachusetts. Products must be purchased from a shooting sports retailer. Stun guns are illegal.
Desert Gear cannot ship these products to consumers in New York. Defense Spray products must be purchased from a shooting sports retailer or pharmacy. Stun guns are illegal.
